Protecting your data, privacy and financial details is very important to Stitcht Limited (“Stitcht”, “us” or “we”).

By using the Stitcht Service which includes both the website, www.stitcht.io, its subdomains (“Website”) and our web applications (collectively, “Stitcht”), you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect and how we use it
In order to provide you with our Services, we collect certain information from you when you register and interact with our Services. The information we gather falls into two categories: information you actively provide (for instance when you create an account), and information we collect through your use of our Services.
Information you actively provide to us:

Name and email address — you provide this information to us if you sign up to our mailing list or submit a video to a thread via the website. We use this information to be able to identify the content that you post should you contact us about you content, to contact you and personalise the content of our messages and to allow owners of a thread to know who has uploaded content to their thread

Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram social handles - should you choose to provide this, thread owners will see this information and can use it should they choose to share your content and want to tag you in the post

Correspondence and communications — any other information you choose to share with us via correspondence, including but not limited to email, support requests, post or social media. We use this information to understand your correspondence and respond to your enquiries.

Videos — we ask to access your photo library to allow you to upload videos from your device

Camera & microphone — we ask to access your camera and microphone for the purpose of being able to record videos and accompanying audio.

Metadata — when collecting information from external sources as well as your device we may also store metadata, such as time and location information, associated with the data. We use metadata to organise and search your data.

Information we share and who we share it with

We only share your data with Third Parties involved in delivering the Stitcht service to our Clients. We collect your information for the following purposes:

Usage information — Firebase Analytics to understand performance in the platform and engagement on our threads. We will share aggregated and anonymous insights of thread engagement to our clients.

Name, email address and social handles (if provided) - this information is shared with our clients to whom you are submitting a video reply to a thread. We provide this information should they wish to contact you about your reply or credit you for a video on a social channel that they may share your content to.

Our interests in this information

We collect this information on a Legitimate Interest basis.
In the interest of assuring all users of the identity of a person they are interacting with we capture their first and last name.

Users of Stitcht invite their friends to interact with them and follow other users on the platform. To enable our users to easily identify who they're interacting with, the first and last name are required.
In the interest of informing our users of changes to the service we capture and use their email address.

Third Party Services
In addition to the Services we provide directly, we also use third party service providers (collectively referred to as “Third Party Services”) who operate their own Privacy Policies (listed below) and may also provide options to 'opt-out' of data collection. As a company, we trust all the Third Party Services we use and deem their services important for our effective operation.

Data Storage

All application data (that is the data you create and add to Stitcht) is stored on Firebase. This data is never shared with any other services.

Data shared to Third Party Services as detailed above may be stored on the servers of the associated Third Party Service.
​
We regularly backup your data that is held on Firebase to limit the risk of any loss of data.​

Data Protection​

We take reasonable measures to protect any personal information we may hold about you in an effort to prevent loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Children
​
Our Services are not for use by children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information of a child under 13, we will delete such information.​ We can be informed of such event by emailing support@stitcht.io

Changes to this Policy

From time to time we may change our privacy policy and although these changes might be minor we encourage our users to check this page regularly. Any major changes of significant impact to our users will be communicated on the Stitcht site and in-app. By continuing to use Stitcht after those changes become effective, you are agreeing to be bound by the revised policy.
